Welding is an activity of joining two or more metals by heating them until they melt, in which the melted workpieces will unite with help additional materials to form a connection whole piece metal. The purpose this study was determine effect welding current, type electrode and pattern movement on strength welds against impact test order produce optimal strength. method used Taguchi Method. This SMAW machine 1G position. material research AISI 1045 steel. experimental design uses L4 (23) has been designed Orthoghonal Array. Next, process are carried out. results Impact Test were then analyzed using ANOVA. that highest percentage yield value for weld found 21% lowest 10%.
